Join us for the 11th Annual CCBC Women’s Expo March 10-11, 2012 at CCBC Catonsville 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., CCBC Catonsville, $5 general admission; students and Military with IDs free.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (Feb. 24, 2012) – The Community College of Baltimore County hosts the 11th annual CCBC Women’s Expo from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, March 10 and 11, in the Gym (L Building) at CCBC Catonsville, 800 South Rolling Road.

Sponsored by the CCBC Enterprise Institute, the event will feature more than 100 exhibitors from women-based businesses, motivational speakers, crafts and jewelry, holistic health and fitness, business finance workshops, to name only a few.  Admission is $5 per day per person; students and military personnel with IDs free.  For more information, visit <>  or call 443-615-7311.  For a current list of all of the exhibitors, visit <> .

The Community College of Baltimore County will have representatives from Admissions, Entrepreneurs (Video Games), Enterprise Institute, Health Professions, Psychology Club and Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) at this year’s expo.

The Community College of Baltimore County, Catonsville chapter of the American Association for Women in Community Colleges started this event eleven years ago as a fundraiser for student scholarships.  Last year, the CCBC Enterprise Institute, under the direction of L. C. Aaronson, took over the sponsorship of this program.  It now helps fund scholarships for the Institute’s Award Fund, a non-profit organization.  Patsy Anderson of Women’s Expo Forum, serves as the promoter for this annual event.

Mini-Fringe Festival

This year a special Mini-Fringe Festival will be held in the Barn Theatre at CCBC Catonsville.  Tickets are $10 for individual tickets; $30 for a 4-show pass and $50 for an all-access pass.  Multi-show passes will include admission to the CCBC Women’s Expo.

·         The Saturday March 10 program schedule includes:

11 a.m. – “Women: Back to the Future” featuring Kate Campbell Stevenson bringing Eleanor Roosevelt, Abigail Adams and Bessie Coleman to life

1 p.m. – “Cendrillon,” Cinderella sung in English by the Baltimore Vocal Arts Foundation

2:30 p.m. – “Harbor City Music Company” show chorus, a cappella music with a twist

4 p.m. – “The Menopause Outlaws” aging with attitude and a country twang

·         The Sunday March 11 program features:

11 a.m. – “Strangers at the Gate” with A Company of Strangers bringing little-known Biblical characters to life and retelling tales from their point of view

1 p.m. – “A Love Like This” by Zionward Productions about a couple trying their best to enjoy a free weekend despite squabbling neighbors

2:30 p.m. – “The Buddz” – Fast-rising rockers and winners of Big Mamma’s Battle of the Bands

4 p.m. – “The Passion of Persephone” A Company of Strangers and The Buddz join forces for this rock opera.
